Spinach Basil Pesto

Check out this great Spinach Basil Pesto from Anne of fANNEtastic food who loves getting creative with her recipes. This time, she decided to mix in a little spinach with her pesto. Try this wonderfully simple recipe to make from imaginative fANNEtastic food. This is yet another pesto recipe except with a special twist. Ingredients

• 1 C fresh basil leaves (packed)
• 1/4 C grated parmesan cheese
• 1/3 C olive oil
• 2 Tbsp pine nuts
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1 tsp pepper
• 1/2 tsp salt
• juice 1/2 lemon
• 1/2 C spinach

Directions

Toss it all into a food processor, give it a whirl, and you are ready to eat! Serve over pasta or on a sandwich, as shown above (with turkey, grated parmesan, sliced zucchini and tomato)!
