Herbes de Provence Recipe

The great thing about a recipe is when you tweak it to make it your own. Use this Herbes de Provence Recipe to make your own seasoning blend. This is a twist on the traditional recipe which uses dried savory and lavender leaves.  Based on how this has been tweaked, imagine what you can do to create your own special blend.

I find it difficult sometimes to find dried savory and I don't care for lavender, so I made my own version which I hope you will enjoy as much as I do. If you have your own twist, please share it in the comment section below or on the main recipe page. We'd love to try it!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup dried rosemary
  • 1/2 cup dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup dried marjoram
  • 1/4 cup dried basil
  • 2 Tablespoons dried fennel seeds

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container kept in a cool, dark place.

Herbes de Provence (also sometimes called Herbs de Provence) is a versatile herb blend that can be used to flavor just about any soup, stew or casserole or use it as a dry rub on beef, poultry or fish.
