Italian Seasoning Recipe

This Italian seasoning recipe is useful have on hand. Make this Italian seasoning mix it when you have fresh herbs to dry or dried herbs to use up before they lose their flavor.




This recipe is not only versatile, it is interchangeable as well. You can customize it to your own taste. If you prefer the flavor of any particular herb, add more of it. Don't like a particular herb? Add less or omit it altogether. This is the recipe that I like the best. Customize it to suit your own taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 Tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjaram
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to six months.

You can easily multiply the measurements in this recipe to make more if needed. Add Italian seasoning to soups, stews, casseroles or your favorite pasta dish.
